Now is the time to sign up your kids for one of UNCG’s summer camps or explore ways your campus unit can support these community efforts. Every summer, children get a taste of the campus experience while enjoying their favorite hobbies or discovering something new. It’s all thanks to the hard work of the UNCG community behind each year’s summer camps.

Now is the time to sign up your own kids for a camp that will engage and entertain them. These camps are signing up kids from across the community, so act fast to secure a spot for your child.

2025 Summer Camps

The Esports & Gaming Summer Camp is open to 8-14 year-olds, and this year, UNCG introduces a brand new camp for 13-17 year-olds. The seven one-week-long camps will introduce them to the Esports arena at Moran and computer lab spaces on campus. It will include instruction from nationally-renowned gaming education company Black Rocket. Campers will have the opportunity to focus on two major subjects each week – one in the morning and one in the afternoon – and of course have plenty of time allotted for gameplay and friendly competitions. Children of UNCG Faculty and Staff receive a $60 discount on the weekly pricing!

The Summer Musical Theatre Intensive prepares high school students to become informed theatre practitioners, developing and expanding their skills and individuality ahead of college BFA program auditions. They will get a week to study with UNCG Faculty and Staff in areas including acting, vocal training, dance, college prep, wellness for the performer, and business of theatre.

CHANCE is a multi-day summer program intended for rising high school seniors. During their time on campus, students will participate in college preparation and leadership skills development. Participants engage with university professors, students, and staff to develop a peer and professional network, forging positive, healthy mentorship connections focused on academic success and personal growth.

Your CHANCE to represent at Resource Fair

UNCG CHANCE invites departments around campus to participate in its annual camp as part of the “Resource Fair” on July 18 from 1:20-3:30 p.m.

This program encourages students to attend college by increasing their awareness of higher education and showing that it is well within their reach.

At Technovation 4 Good, campers learn all about programming, cybersecurity, data analytics, mobile application development, and more. They gain a deeper appreciation life skills through hands-on practical experience and field trips.

In the Summer ExPlorers program, high school students engage in a one-week-long activity series that connects real-world experiences to the classroom and beyond with an emphasis on phosphorus sustainability.

The Summer Arts and Design Intensive residential art program encompasses various art forms, including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography, graphic design, and animation.Students will participate in faculty-led studio sessions that combine traditional techniques with contemporary experimentation to help them reach their full potential. There will also be enrichment activities, including artist talks, visits to Art Galleries, and a career seminar on the arts.

The Herpetological Research Experience Camp at Camp Chestnut gives children an interactive agriculture experience. There, they perform actual scientific field work alongside some university professors and field experts to learn about the local ecosystem.

Sports Camps and Clinics

A variety of camps and clinics are offered on UNCG’s campus every summer. Children build up their athletic skills and gain important life lessons for on and off the field or the court courtesy of UNCG’s acclaimed coaches and Athletics staff.
