Dutton Wraps Up Round Two of NCAA Regionals

AMHERST, Va. – Colin Dutton of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team sits in a tie for 59th place after the conclusion of round two of the NCAA Amherst Regional on Monday in Amherst, Virginia, at Poplar Grove Golf Course.

Previously slated for one round each day, the NCAA Amherst Regional began on Sunday due to potential weather.

Dutton wrapped up the final two holes of the first round with an even par and bogey to get Monday started. He concluded the first round with a three-over-par (73). Dutton posted a seven-over-par (77) in the second round to sit in a tie for 59th place on Monday with a 10-over-par (150) through two rounds. He carded a total of eight pars and one birdie in the second round.

Tennessee is pacing the 13-team leaderboard with a four-under-par (556) across the two rounds finished. Jackson Van Paris of Vanderbilt is leading all players with a six-under-par (134) behind two consecutive rounds of three-under-par (67).

UP NEXT
Dutton will conclude the third and final round of the NCAA Amherst Regional on Tuesday in Amherst, Virginia, at Poplar Grove Golf Course. If weather occurs on Tuesday, the final round will be completed on Wednesday. 

The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams will advance to the NCAA Championships, held from May 22-27 in Carlsbad, California, at La Costa Resort.
