This Outdoor Adventures' classic brings us to Pilot Mountain for a day of rock climbing and testing our limits. We will climb a few different routes, moving around the climbing area throughout the day, with a break for lunch alongside the face of the mountain. No outdoor climbing experience is necessary, we will teach you all that you need to know!

Nestled just off the Blue Ridge Parkway near Blowing Rock, the Boone Fork Trail offers one of the High Country’s most scenic and refreshing hikes. This beautiful loop winds through lush forests, open meadows, boardwalks, and creek crossings before reaching the stunning Hebron Falls area, where cascading water and natural pools create perfect spots to cool off and relax. With numerous swimming and wading opportunities along Boone Fork Creek, this trail is ideal for a summer adventure combining hiking, waterfalls, and mountain scenery along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Enjoy your Summer Break by soaking in the sun and catching waves surfing at Wrightsville Beach! This trip requires no previous surfing experience, we’ll help you ride your first wave. Every day we will eat breakfast at our campsite and depart for the beach to spend the whole day catching waves, playing in the water, and sunbathing. We will return to the campsite to eat a delicious dinner, sit by the campfire, and rest before the next day of surfing! Join us this weekend for adventures, ocean waves, new friends, and great food.

Registration through GivePulse is required to participate! This annual university-wide day of service takes place during Rawkin’ Welcome Weeks in August. It gives UNCG students an opportunity to be introduced to different parts of our community while working with our community partners to make a difference. Participation is free.
