VERO BEACH, FLA. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team wrapped up day one of the Quail Valley Invitational on Sunday, sitting in a tie for 15^th place through the first two rounds at Quail Valley Golf Course in Vero Beach, Florida.

TEAM

• UNCG is currently tied for 15^th place with Northern Illinois after an overall score of three-over-par (579) behind rounds of 286-293.
• Minnesota and Liberty sit atop the leaderboard with a 25-under-par score (551) through the first two rounds.
• The Spartans notched a 3.23 average on par three holes through day one.
• The Blue & Gold recorded 33 birdies and 106 pars in the first and second rounds.

INDIVIDUAL

• Jake Lewis sits atop the scorecard for the Spartans in a tie for 37^th place with a one-under-par (143). Lewis began the tournament by posting a five-under-par (67) in round one and notched a four-over-par (76) in the second round.
• Kelvin Hernandez is tied for 47^th place with an even-par score (144). Hernandez posted a two-under-par (70) in the opening round and recorded a two-over-par (74) in the second round.
• B.J. Boyce sits in a tie for 64^th place with a two-over-par (146) behind rounds of 74-72.
• Will Guidry and Dax Isbell round out the scorecard for the Spartans in a tie for 72^nd place with a five-over-par (149).
• Guidry recorded rounds of 75-74, while Isbell notched a 76-73 in rounds one and two, respectively.
• Yixiang Wang of Memphis, William Baker of Kansas and Josh Ryan of Liberty are pacing the 81-player leaderboard with a 12-under-par (132).
