Nine Spartans Honored in All-SoCon Awards
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Nine members of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's soccer team were named to The Southern Conference (SoCon) All-Conference teams, the league announced Thursday ahead of the first round of the 2025 SoCon Tournament.
Representing UNCG on the All-SoCon First Team is Enzo Dovlo, Julien Le Bourdoulous and Sami Lachekar. Named to the SoCon All-Conference Second Team was Arnaud Tattevin, Steven Hernandez, Issah Haruna, Seth Wilsonand Kimito Fritz. On the SoCon All-Freshman Team, Trym Linberg was the Spartans' lone representative.
Dovlo led the Spartans in goals (9), assists (6) and points (24) this season. His standout performance earned him a spot on the Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List on Oct. 10. Midfielder Le Bourdoulous has been the engine of the UNCG midfield, serving as a playmaker on both offense and defense. He has two goals and four assists this season. Defender Lachekar has anchored the Spartan defense this season, logging 1,474 minutes of action. He also added two goals and two assists on the offensive end, earning his first All-SoCon recognition since 2022.
Tattevin and Hernandez each received second-team recognition this season. Both strikers were key contributors to the Spartans' explosive attack, combining for 13 goals and four assists. This marks Tattevin's third career All-SoCon Second Team and Hernandez's first. Sophomore Haruna built on his strong freshman season with a All-SoCon Second Team nod after recording one goal and three assists. His two assists against Mercer on Nov. 1 helped the Spartans secure a 3-0 victory. Fritz also earned second-team honors with one goal and two assists. Goalkeeper Wilson picked up a second-team nod after posting three clean sheets and a 0.80 goals-against average in conference play.
Linberg earned a spot on the SoCon All-Freshman Team after appearing in 17 matches and recording one goal and three assists.
