Women’s Basketball Travels to SEC Foe Auburn
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's basketball team will continue its non-conference slate with a trip to Alabama to take on Southeastern Conference (SEC) foe Auburn on Monday night in Neville Arena. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM EST/6:00 PM CST.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE SPARTANS
- UNCG fell to Stanford, 87-42, on Monday and San Francisco, 64-40, on Wednesday in its season opening trip to California.
- Against the Cardinal, Jeni Levine led both teams with 18 points, while freshman Leyla Minor chipped in 11 points.
- In the team's matchup against the Dons, Makiah Asidanya led the Spartans with 19 points, while Levine notched 10 points to round out UNCG's double-figure scoring in the game.
- Asidanya's 19 points were a season-best and was one point away from her career high of 20. She paced the game with three triples and went 4-for-4 at the free throw line.
ABOUT THE SPARTANS
- UNCG comes into the 2025-26 season after a historic 2024-25 campaign.
- The Spartans earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament last season for the first time since 1998. The team defeated Chattanooga, 64-57, in The 2025 Southern Conference (SoCon) Championship, earning an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
- The team fell to No. 1 USC in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California.
- The reigning SoCon Coach of the Year, Head Coach Trina Patterson enters her 10th year with the Blue & Gold this season.
- The 2025-26 roster features five returners and eight newcomers. Four of the newcomers are freshmen, while the other four are transfer students.
- After the first week of play, UNCG is pacing the SoCon with a 78.9 free throw percentage.
- Levine is second in the league with 28 points through two games.
- Asidanya is second in the SoCon with five three-pointers.
- Jaila Lee and Asidanya were selected to the SoCon Preseason All-Conference Team after both of their stellar performances last season.
- UNCG was voted to finish second with two first-place votes in the SoCon Preseason Coaches' Poll.
SCOUTING AUBURN
- The Tigers come into Monday night's matchup 2-0 overall.
- Auburn began the season with a 71-58 overtime win over Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina on Monday, Nov. 3.
- The team most recently opened up its home slate with an 82-41 victory over Alabama State on Saturday in Neville Arena.
- The Tigers are leading the SEC with an 80.6 free throw percentage and are second in the conference with a 25.00 free throws made per game average.
- Khady Leye is second in the SEC and 24th nationally with a 3.00 blocks per game average.
- Kaitlyn Duhon leads the conference and the nation as she is 100 percent from the free throw line this season.
- Harissoum Coulibaly is 21st nationally with a 5.00 steals per game average.
- Auburn was picked to finish 15th in the SEC Coaches' Preseason Poll.
- Head Coach Larry Vickers is in his first season at the helm of the Auburn Tigers women's basketball program.
- Auburns' 2025-26 roster features two returners and 10 newcomers.
- Duhon and Syriah Daniels are the two returners on the Tigers' squad.
