Baeumken Secures Top 10 Finish in Evie Odom Invitational

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team concluded the Evie Odom Invitational on Saturday at Princess Anne Golf Course in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Julia Baeumken finished tied for seventh with a two-over-par (212) in three rounds, marking her best finish since 2024 in the French Broad Collegiate where she placed tied for third.
TEAM
- UNCG carded a 42-over-par (882) with rounds of 297-289-296, finishing in a tie for ninth place.
- As a team, the Spartans recorded 29 birdies and 168 pars in the tournament.
- Out of 12 teams competing, UNCG ranked fourth in the tournament in par five holes with a 5.13 stroke average.
- Maryland won the 12-team Invitational with a 14-over par (854).
INDIVIDUAL
- Baeumken carded rounds of 68-72-71 for an overall score of two-over-par (212) to finish tied for seventh place.
- Chanelle Mwangi finished in a tie for 22nd place with an overall score of seven-over-par (217) behind round scores of 77-68-72.
- Lulu Leetham came in closely behind Mwangi to finish in a tie for 26th place with an eight-over-par (218). Leetham carded back-to-back rounds of two-over-par (72) before notching a four-over-par (70) in the final round.
- Kasey McIlvaine recorded a 10-over-par (220) with rounds of 74-73-73, earning a tie for 37th place.
- Elle Burnette finished in 61st place with a 19-over-par (229), while Sophie Lauture rounded out the scorecard for the Spartans in a tie for 63rd place with a 21-over-par (231).
- Daniela Palmeros of South Alabama earned first place on the 72-player leaderboard with a four-under-par (206).
