Career and Professional Development Holds Open House

Career & Professional Development offers many opportunities to form campus partnerships that benefit students. Events this year include the part-time job fair and the first Career Launch Bootcamp with The Washington Center. An Open House on Aug. 22 will give everyone a chance to learn more. The post Career and Professional Development Holds Open House appeared first on UNC Greensboro.

It is a busy and exciting time for Career & Professional Development (CPD) as it gears up for new opportunities for students to connect with opportunities that will help them excel in their academics and pursue their dream professions.

CPD invites all faculty and staff to reach out and discuss ways they can partner up and collaborate more effectively. They can do so by dropping in to their Open House on Aug. 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the CPD suite, located on the EUC’s ground floor. Students are also invited to come and connect with resources to help them prepare for their next steps.

This come-and-go event is a chance to explore how CPD empowers Spartans to become career-ready, from their first year to life beyond graduation. Guests can enjoy refreshments while engaging with interactive stations highlighting:

  • Career readiness tools and resources
  • Student employment services
  • Employer engagement opportunities
  • First Destination Survey outcomes and data

Faculty and staff interested in going should RSVP by Aug. 20 using this form. Students can register on Handshake.

CPD invites faculty and staff to start promoting their part-time job fair to students on Wednesday, Aug. 27. Everyone should be on the lookout for information on how to apply for the Career Launch Bootcamp. UNCG will be the first campus to host this professional development program through The Washington Center. Its workshops, which normally cost about $1,200 and require traveling to Washington, D.C., will be offered to 75 third- and fourth-year students for free.

The staff at CPD are excited to have so many new and returning resources to get Spartans off to a strong start in Fall 2025.
