Calling all First Year students! Take this opportunity to connect with other first year students and spend your weekend camping, rafting, and hiking! We will journey to Western North Carolina and spend day one hiking on beautiful trails before making our way to camp for the night. We'll have a delicious dinner as we continue to connect with our new friends before the night ends. On Sunday morning we'll wake up, pack up camp, and head to the rafting outpost for a full day rafting trip on the French Broad River! This Outdoor Adventures' classic brings us to Pilot Mountain for a day of rock climbing and testing our limits. We will climb a few different routes, moving around the climbing area throughout the day, with a break for lunch alongside the face of the mountain. No outdoor climbing experience is necessary, we will teach you all that you need to know!

Join Spartan Well-Being for this workshop. When considering health, we often think only in terms of physical and mental health; however true wellness is much broader. A holistic approach to wellness supports the whole person and encompasses eight dimensions. Each dimension contributes to optimal health and well-being, including physical, emotional, social, intellectual, career, cultural, environmental, and financial wellness. This presentation will explore the eight dimensions of wellness, provide an opportunity for you to examine your relationship with each dimension, and discover new ways to support your health and wellness. After participating in this workshop, students will be able to:
Consider and explore their personal health and well-being.
Understand the connection among the 8 dimensions of wellness.
Identify resources and ways to enhance their relationship with each dimension.
