Description

Hispanic heritage month themed carnival, Come for live DJ, free food, carnival games, and prizes. To win a prize there will be different tables that teach you about the different aspect of what an ofrenda is, once you go to all the tables you will get a stamp from each table and be able to spin a wheel for a prize. This event is to highlight multiple cultures throughout Hispanic heritage month while also being able to have fun and savory food. Will have perfromances from our very own uncg students and will show us different cultures such as dances and informational speech

Suicide Prevention Candle Making Workshop

Join the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) for a meaningful evening of creativity, reflection, and community support at our Suicide Prevention Candle Making Workshop. In recognition of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, this event combines art and advocacy to honor lives affected by suicide and to spread hope. Participants will create their own custom candles while engaging in open conversations about mental health, self-care, and the importance of seeking help. We’ll share resources, uplifting messages, and moments of quiet reflection as we light candles to symbolize resilience and remembrance.
