NOTE: By signing up for these notices you are agreeing that you have read the following information
- All food is donated “as is” to the recipient. There are no utensils, containers, napkins, or other materials available which may be needed to transport the food. Please bring your own container.
- All food distributed through this program is donated to the university for distribution to individual recipients and a part of the Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act of 1996. For more information, refer to Public Law 104-201, 110 Statutes. 3011. In accordance with North Carolina Law (99B-10, Immunity for Donated Food) and federal law, Chartwells and the University of North Carolina Greensboro are not liable for civil damages or criminal penalties resulting from the nature, age, condition, or packaging of the donated food. Each individual recipient of the food is responsible for safe handling and for maintaining donated food at the correct temperature and conditions required for safe food storage and consumption.
