GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team fell 17-1 in the series finale against the Creighton Bluejays on Sunday after winning the first two games of the three-game slate on Friday at UNCG Baseball Stadium.

The Bluejays scored Sunday's first run in the second inning when Will MacLean sent a no-doubt two-run home run over the wall in left.

MacLean did it again in the third inning. With another runner standing on second, he blasted a second no-doubt homer out to right to make it 4-0 Bluejays.

Nolan Sailors gave the Bluejays a 5-0 lead when he singled through the infield and into right-center, which scored Tate Gillen from first base. An errant throw in the infield on a fielder's choice play allowed another pair of runs to score, making it 7-0 Bluejays. Connor Capece then capped what was a four-run, four-hit frame with an RBI single to right field that scored Ben North, making it 8-0 Creighton.

The Bluejays tacked on two more runs in the sixth to make it 10-0 when Sailors hit an RBI single through the left side before Kyle Hess was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

Creighton piled on seven more runs with six hits in the top half of the seventh to take a 17-0 lead. The Spartans got on the board in the bottom half of the inning after Trey Truitt recorded a leadoff single and later scored on a hit to right-center by Malachi Gales. Creighton then sealed the 17-1 victory with a pair of strikeouts.
