Three From Men’s Golf Earn CSC Academic All-District® Recognition

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Noah Connor, Randall Hudson and Tommy Lamb of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team have been named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team.

CSC Announces Academic All-District Awards

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Noah Connor, Randall Hudson and Tommy Lamb of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team have been named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team.
 
To be eligible, nominated student-athletes must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) and need to be in the lineup for 70% of rounds that include team scores.

From The Southern Conference (SoCon), 12 student-athletes appeared on the men's team, including one from Western Carolina, one from Chattanooga, two from Furman and five from Mercer. 
 
After graduating this year with a major in accounting, Connor achieved a 3.70 GPA this past spring. The Reidsville, N.C., native notched a 71.91 average across 35 rounds this season. Connor posted his best round of the season with a six-under-par (66) in the final round of the Bryan National Collegiate, where he also achieved his best finish, coming in at third place.
 
Hudson also finished up his career at UNCG this year, finishing his final semester with a 3.60 GPA, majoring in psychology. The New Bern, N.C., native finished second on the team behind a 71.57 average across 35 rounds. Hudson earned second place at two events this season in the Dorado Beach Collegiate and the Rod Myers Invitational. In addition, following the completion of the SoCon Tournament, Hudson was tabbed to the All-SoCon Team.
 
Finally, recent graduate Lamb concluded his last semester as a Spartan with a 3.89 spring GPA as a marketing major. Lamb earned his best round score of the season at the Phoenix Invitational with a six-under-par (66), where he also finished in sixth place.
 
UNCG concluded the 2023-24 season after making Division I program history with its first appearance at the NCAA Championship. In addition, this season marked the fifth time in the Division I era that a UNCG team has received a bid to an NCAA Regional, while it is the eighth time overall as three individuals have made appearances as well. 
 
This season, the Spartans won two regular season tournaments in the Bryan National Collegiate and the Dorado Beach Collegiate. In addition, UNCG had eight top-5 and nine top-10 tournament finishes including the SoCon Tournament and the NCAA Regionals.
