GREENSBORO, N.C. - The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team will enter the 2024 Southern Conference (SoCon) Tournament as the No. 8 seed to face No. 1 ETSU on Thursday, April 18 at 1 p.m. in Chattanooga, Tenn., at the Champions Club.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS

• The Spartans concluded the regular season with a 6-15 overall record and 0-7 in conference.
• UNCG fell in its final regular season contest at Chattanooga, 7-0 on Saturday, April 13.
• John Gabelic is leading the Spartans with a 9-10 overall record in singles action.
• Gabelic and David Flisberg stand out as the best doubles team on the squad with a 5-7 record.

SCOUTING THE BUCS

• The Bucs finished the regular season with a 4-3 win at The Citadel last Wednesday (April 10), pushing their overall record to 10-9 and their league mark to a perfect 7-0.
• Dimitri Badra is leading ETSU with a 12-4 overall record in singles play.
• Badra and Adam Nagoudi and Miledge Cossu and Francisco Lamas are pacing the team with each having a 5-6 record in doubles.
• ETSU has won the tournament every year it has been contested since rejoining the SoCon in 2014-15.

UNCG AT THE SOCON TOURNAMENT

•  The Spartans fell to No. 1 Chattanooga in last season's SoCon Quarterfinals, 5-1.

• ETSU is 3-0 all-time against the Spartans in the tournament, also winning its matchups in 2001, 2002 and 2017.
