GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team earned a 4-3 victory over crosstown foe North Carolina A&T (NCAT) in a non-conference dual on Thursday afternoon at the UNCG Tennis Courts.

UNCG got on the board first when it secured the doubles point with back-to-back wins. William Elmers and Luke Thomson bested Lucas Coupo-Moison and Jindrich Brill, 6-0, before Andrew Black and Devon Moskowitz knocked off Mathieu Dussaubat and Kaua Santos, 6-3. The final doubles match, featuring John Gabelic and Tymofiy Khrystyuk facing Said Akbarov and Ian Pedersen was left unfinished after the Spartans had already secured the doubles point.

The Aggies got on the board and tied it, 1-1, when Akbarov defeated Thomson, 6-1, 6-2, to begin singles play. However, Khrystuk put the Spartans back on top, 2-1, once he prevailed over Coupo-Moison, 6-1, 6-2. Black made it 3-1 UNCG with his win over Santos, 6-3, 6-0. NCAT's Pedersen then defeated Gabelic, 6-4, 6-3, to cut the deficit to 3-2. However, Moskowitz locked in the eventual victory for UNCG by earning a 6-3, 7-3 (3) win over Brill, which made it 4-2. Dussaubat then won over Elmers, 4-6, 6-4 and 7-6 (4), but the Spartans had already earned enough points to walk away with the 4-3 victory in the dual.
