GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team will continue its time in Sea Island, Georgia, by taking on the Johnnie-O at Sea Island, hosted by Rutgers on Monday and Tuesday at Seaside Golf Course.

THE FORMAT
Monday will be a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m., featuring two rounds. Tuesday's final round tee times will be between 8 a.m. to 10:20 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE SPARTANS

• UNCG most recently claimed first place at the Sea Palms Invitational on Saturday at Sea Palms Resort.
• UNCG finished the three-day tournament with a 21-under-par (831) behind rounds of 268-279-284.
• Jake Lewis led the scorecard for the Spartans to earn his best collegiate finish in a tie for second place with Davidson's Joshua Stewart.
• The freshman posted a career-best eight-under-par (63) in the first round before carding a one-under-par (70) in round two and an even par (71) in the final round.
• Jack Marcotte finished just behind Lewis to earn fourth place with rounds of 69-70-68 for a six-under-par (207).
• Kelvin Hernandez concluded the tournament in 13^th place. Hernandez posted a six-under-par (65) in round one and carded 68-79 in the final two rounds for a one-under-par (212) finish.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS

• Saturday's win marks the team's fourth first-place finish this season. UNCG also finished first at the Dorado Beach Collegiate on Feb. 25, 2025, the Bryan National Collegiate on Sept. 10, 2024, and the Elon Invitational on Oct. 15, 2024.
• The last time UNCG collected four tournament wins in a single season was in 2018-19 when the team earned The Southern Conference (SoCon) Championship Title.
• This is the first time in UNCG men's golf program history the team has collected four regular season tournament wins.
• Marcotte is third in the SoCon with a 71.05 stroke average.
• Heandez is fourth with a 71.14 average.
• Hernandez notched his first collegiate win at the Bryan National Collegiate on Sept. 10 behind an eight-under-par (208).
• Three Spartans have earned SoCon Golfer of the Week recognitions this season. Hernandez (Sept. 11, 2024) and Marcotte & Dutton (Feb. 26, 2024).
• UNCG is currently ranked 104^th nationally through seven events with a 286.8 scoring average and a 53-27-1 record. 

AT LAST SEASON'S JOHNNIE-O AT SEA ISLAND

• The Spartans finished fourth at the 2023-24 Johnnie-O at Sea Island.
• UNCG shot an overall score of 11-under-par (853) in the three-round tournament.
• The Spartans' best score of the tournament came in the opening round with a five-under-par (283).
• UNCG led all 14 teams with a 2.92 average on par threes and a total of 185 birdies in the course.
