Softball Adds Carr to Team 41
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) softball team and Head Coach Janelle Breneman add Layla Carr to total seven additions to the 2025-26 roster.

High School: EA Laney High School
Position: Infield/Outfield
Travel team: Nationals Batts/Garner 18U
From Coach: "We are thrilled to welcome Layla to our talented 2025 class. She is a versatile player whose speed will be an asset to our lineup. Layla's discipline both on the field and in the classroom makes her an exceptional addition to our program. We look forward to seeing Layla compete for UNCG!"

The Spartans' game against Winthrop on Wednesday has been postponed. UNCG is scheduled to host four teams for the UNCG Invitaional from Friday, Feb. 21 to Sunday, Feb. 23. The Spartans will face Iona (Feb. 21 – 12:30 p.m.), Towson (Feb. 22 – 10 a.m.), Tennessee Tech (Feb. 22 – 12:30 p.m.) and George Washington (Feb. 23 – 3 p.m.) at the UNCG Softball Stadium.
