Holcomb Earns CSC Academic All-District® Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf junior Grace Holcomb was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly CoSIDA, Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team, announced by the organization on Tuesday.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf junior Grace Holcomb was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly CoSIDA, Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team, announced by the organization on Tuesday.

To be eligible, nominated student-athletes must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and have competed in 70% of their team's total varsity events that included team scores.

A junior from Wilmington, N.C., Holcomb finished the school year with a 3.53 GPA while studying marketing. Additionally, she was recently named to the Dean's List as well as Athletic Director's List for her work in the classroom. Holcomb is also a two-time member Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team in 2022 and 2023.

Athletically, Holcomb concluded the 2023-24 campaign second on the Spartans with a stroke average of 75.67 over 27 rounds. She finished the season tied for 13th at the SoCon Championship in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, marking her second top-15 finish after previously finishing tied for sixth in the previous season.

From The Southern Conference (SoCon), 25 student-athletes appeared on the women's team, including six from Furman, six from Mercer, six from Wofford, four from Western Carolina and two from Chattanooga.
