Women’s Soccer Announces 2024 Schedule
GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's soccer Head Coach Stefani Workman has announced the team's 2024 schedule.
The 2024 season schedule is highlighted by three opponents who earned automatic bids to the 2023 NCAA Tournament including Colorado, Liberty, and Western Carolina. This will be the first meeting with Colorado in program history starting a two-game series, beginning with a home contest on Thursday, August 29 at the UNCG Soccer Stadium at 7:00 p.m. and returning to Boulder, Colorado in August 2025.
"We are excited for our upcoming fall schedule. The non-conference slate has a strong in-state emphasis with a unique challenge in hosting Big 12 opponent Colorado which will test our girls in preparation for the grueling Southern Conference (SoCon) schedule. We want to push our team to make sure they are peaking on our way to compete for a Championship."

- The Spartans will compete in three exhibition games prior to the regular season, two at home and one away. UNCG will open the campaign hosting UNC Asheville on Aug. 7 at 6:00 p.m. They will then travel to Richmond for a 5:30 p.m. kick-off on Aug. 11 before returning home for one final friendly against Barton College on Aug. 14 at 6:00 p.m.
- Non-conference regular season schedule breakdown: American (2), CAA (2), Big 12 (1), Big South (1), CUSA (1), Sun Belt (1)
- In total, the Spartans are scheduled to face three teams that earned a bid into the 2023 NCAA Tournament; Colorado, Liberty and Western Carolina. The Catamounts earned an automatic bid into the tournament by claiming the 2023 SoCon Tournament title.
- UNCG will begin the regular season on the road with matches at UNC Wilmington on Aug. 18 at 7:00 p.m. and East Carolina on Aug. 22 at 7:00 p.m.
- The Spartans will open their home slate against Colorado on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 7:00 p.m.
- UNCG will play nine conference games, including five on the road and four at home.
- The Spartans will begin their SoCon schedule on Sept. 19 facing VMI in Lexington, Virginia, at 4:00 p.m.
- UNCG will wrap up regular-season action on Oct. 27 with a SoCon finale at Samford with kick-off slated for 2:00 p.m. in Birmingham, Alabama.
- The 2024 SoCon Tournament will begin with the first round on Oct. 29, then the quarterfinals on Nov. 1, semifinals on Nov. 3 and the championship on Nov. 10. Sites and start times for the games are to be determined.
