GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team will continue its fall slate by competing in the UNC Wilmington (UNCW) Tournament from Friday to Sunday at the UNCW Courts in Wilmington, North Carolina.
 
Tournament Information:

• Competition will start at 9:00 a.m. each day.
• Friday and Saturday will feature singles and doubles matches, while Sunday will be the final round of singles for all teams.

 
Teams Competing:
UNCG, Seton Hall, Campbell, Longwood, North Carolina Central, Mt. Olive and UNCW.

Spartans Last Time Out:

• Three Spartans most recently competed at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), hosted by North Carolina at Chewning Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, from Oct. 17-18.
• Alexandra Dodashev, Olivia Gallagher and Sydney Bly competed in the tournament.
• Dodashev earned the Spartans only single win of the tournament. Dodashev and Gallagher notched their doubles win on Thursday to continue play on Friday. 

Scouting the Opponents

• Seton Hall – The Pirates have competed in three other fall tournaments this year with the most recent being at the ITA Regional in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Six members of the team competed in the tournament. Imogen Brooker and Tamsin Hart were among 64 players to earn one of the 16 qualifying spots. The UNCW Tournament will be the conclusion of the fall schedule for Seton Hall.
• Campbell – The UNCW Tournament will mark the third and final fall tournament for the Fighting Camels this year. The squad also competed in the Coastal Carolina Invite and the Wofford Invite earlier this fall. In total, Campbell went 11-10 in singles matches and 7-2 in doubles matches in its most recent time out at the Wofford Invite. Sandra Mari Marti turned in the best mark for Campbell at a perfect 3-0 in doubles and 2-1 in singles.
• Longwood – The Lancers most recently competed in the Big South Individual Championship. Longwood picked up one win in the final day of competition as Emilia Roslund from Gardner-Webb forfeited her match in the consolation singles draw to Elizabeta Gnilozubova. Longwood has also competed at the CNU Mock Dual Invitational and the Big Southern Shootout this fall. The UNCW Tournament will be the conclusion of the fall slate for the Lancers.
• North Carolina Central– The UNCW Tournament will be the sixth and final tournament for the Eagles this fall. North Carolina Central most recently hosted the NCCU Invitational from Oct. 18-20.
• Mt. Olive – The Trojans most recently jumped out of tournament play to compete in a dual match with Charleston, going the way of the Golden Eagles, 7-0. Prior to that, Mt. Olive competed in three other tournament, including the Belmont Abbey Tournament, ITA Regionals and the Methodist Invitational. The UNCW Tournament will be the final tournament for the Trojans this fall. Mt. Olive will also open its spring slate by taking on UNCW in a dual match on Jan. 31 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
• UNCW – The Seahawks opened their fall schedule with the NCCU Invitational from Oct. 18-20. Eda Arli, Alicia Eberwein and Katelyn Hubbard advanced to the semifinals of the North Carolina Central Fall Invitational. The Spartans and Seahawks will meet again this fall as both are scheduled to compete at the CCU Battle of the Beach for the conclusion of their fall schedules.
