Women’s Tennis Heads to Queen City Sunday

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team will head over to the Queen City on Sunday to take on Queens at 11:00 a.m. at the Howard Levine Tennis Center.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS

  • UNCG is 1-7 overall on the 2025 campaign.
  • The Spartans most recently dropped a 4-3 battle with Longwood on Saturday, Feb. 15 at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center.
  • Olivia Gallagher, Alexandra Dodashev and Elisabeth Birkevold led the team by securing all three of their singles matches.
  • Dodashev is leading the Spartans with four singles wins this season.
  • Dodashev and Gallagher are currently the best doubles duo with two wins on the 2025 stanza.
  • UNCG concluded the 2024 season with a 3-19 overall record and 1-6 mark in The Southern Conference (SoCon).

  • Lucy Hogan was named ASUN Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Wednesday after earning both her singles wins this week against Appalachian State and Montreat.
  • Hogan is leading the team in singles play with a 4-1 overall record.
  • Hogan and Andreea Onitoiu are pacing the team in doubles action with a 3-2 record.
  • Queens concluded the 2024 slate with a 2-21 overall record.

SERIES HISTORY 
The Spartans claimed the two team's first meeting in a 5-2 victory over the Royals last season on Feb. 24, 2024, in Greensboro.
