HOW IT HAPPENED
A kill from McKenna Timmerman put UNCG on the board first in Thursday night's match. The Citadel quickly responded with a 4-0 run to take the lead and hold it for the remainder of the set. The Citadel scored first in the second set, but UNCG tallied a 10-4 run to take control. The Blue & Gold continued to maintain the lead throughout the remainder of the set. A final kill from Madeline Timmerman coming off the hands of Izora Gragg secured set two for the Spartans, 25-22.
