Volleyball Drops 3-0 Contest with Wofford
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) volleyball team dropped a 3-0 contest with Wofford (12-25, 18-25, 18-25) Friday night in Fleming Gym.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Terriers began the match by notching a 5-0 run and never looked back. Wofford maintained the advantage throughout the entirety of the first set to come away with it, 25-12.
The Spartans found their stride in the second game by posting a 4-2 run to start things off for their first lead of the match. Wofford later responded with a 4-0 run to take the 8-6 lead and hold it for the remainder of the set. UNCG remained within distance, but the Terriers were able to walk away with the second game, 25-18.
Wofford continued its momentum into the third and final game by recording an 11-3 run. With UNCG down 16-7, the squad notched a 5-0 run to come back within four to make the score 16-12. However, it wasn't enough to keep Wofford from going on to earn the third game, 25-18 for the straight-set victory.
