Creative expression through poetry, movement, drawing, collage and other forms of art to support healing and processing of various types of traumas.  This group offers creative coping skills, exploration of self and provides an alternative way to process trauma while supporting individual and collective healing.   No artistic experience necessary, we are working with the process not the outcome in this space.

Survivor Space is a peer-based support group for survivors of all forms of interpersonal violence. If you have experienced harm by another person in the past, or you are currently experiencing harm by someone you know, this group is designed for you. Survivor Space uses empowered-choice making and community-based support as tools in a survivor’s healing journey. Topics covered in the group can include resiliency building, boundary setting, healthy relationships, conflict management, and increasing self-esteem. The topics are driven by participants- we define what healing looks like for us. Drop-ins to this group are welcome. If you have additional questions about Survivor Space, would like to make an accommodations request for this group, or would like to speak with an advocate, please call 336-334-9839 to schedule an intake appointment.

Spartan Connect Events | Definition church
This event would be free entry, and people would have the opportunity to donate to Western North Carolina to help support them during this time. The event will consist of a Trunk or Treat as well as a social area with games and activities to make it engaging for both the children and adults.
