Understanding The Black Student Experience is a thought-provoking and impactful event designed to provide a space for reflection on the resources and strategies that Black students have used to develop community and a strong sense of identity at UNCG and within the Greensboro community. In this immersive experience, attendees will participate in meaningful conversations about both the academic and personal journeys of Black students.

Creative expression through poetry, mindful movement, drawing, collage and additional forms of art based mediums in order to support healing and processing of various types of trauma. This group offers creative coping skills, exploration of self and provides an alternative way to process trauma while supporting individual and collective healing. Survivor Space is a peer-based support group for survivors of all forms of interpersonal violence. If you have experienced harm by another person in the past, or you are currently experiencing harm by someone you know, this group is designed for you. Survivor Space uses empowered-choice making and community-based support as tools in a survivor's healing journey. Topics covered in the group can include resilience building, boundary setting, healthy relationships, conflict management, and increasing self-esteem. The topics are driven by participants- we define what healing looks like for us. Drop-ins to this group are welcome.
