Description

Net Impact will be highlighting and recognizing students involved in the club, celebrate achievements, and help build community. Awarding members who attended meetings and volunteered. Recognizing the e-board members and welcoming the new leadership team. It will be a way for members to come together to network and socialize. Having a banquet will be a great to reflect on Net Impact UNCG successes as a new club and appreciate members contributions.

Body Positivity: Session 1
Spartan Connect Events | Ground Floor of Gove Student Health Center
Spartan Well-Being welcomes you to join the Body Positivity workshop. This workshop is a community-building group that invites students to participate in a positive and informative discussion about body image. A Spartan Well-Being peer will guide participants through two 1-hour sessions. Students will be able to explore their thoughts around body image and discuss the impact external factors (social media, trends, etc.) have on this topic. Students will create SMART goals at the end of the sessions that will help them think and feel more positive about their bodies. You must attend session 1 in order to attend session 2. Session 2 will be scheduled during session 1.

Train Your Brain
Spartan Connect Events | SHS Room 224

This is an introductory class that will teach you the skill of mindfulness. Mindfulness skills support relaxation, self-compassion, increased focus, and improved sleep! This class will also help you build the habit of using it in your life on a regular basis. We’ve found that folks get a lot more out of the course if they stick with it from beginning to end, therefore attendance at all sessions is strongly encouraged.

Spartan Connect Events | Ground Floor of Gove Student Health Center
Spartans Together is a peer-facilitated program that helps students meet and get to know students outside of their social group and build a stronger community on campus. Students meet in small groups over weekly 1-hour sessions throughout the semester. Join Spartan Well Being to engage in a series of thought-provoking questions and fun activities.
