Description

UNCG and HS students will be creating a Shark Tank-style sales pitch for an Apple product of their choice. They will be judged by a panel of judges including Dr. Sara MacSween and Cintas representative Linwood Smith. We plan to provide lunch for participants and judges.

Healing Trauma Through Yoga & Meditation

Restoring union with the body and reclaiming the body as one’s own through asana (poses) and dhyana (meditation) is the foundation of this group. Coming back into the body is part of coming back into wholeness during trauma healing. The time consists of guided meditation, minimal asana with positive self-affirmation, and time for sharing. This group is intended for survivors of complex trauma and screening is required. Please call 336-334-9839 to schedule screening before attending group.

Trauma-Informed Expressive Arts

Creative expression through poetry, movement, drawing, collage and other forms of art to support healing and processing of various types of traumas. This group offers creative coping skills, exploration of self and provides an alternative way to process trauma while supporting individual and collective healing.  No artistic experience necessary, we are working with the process not the outcome in this space.
