Graduate School Applications can be complex and nerve wrecking for many candidates. That’s why Career & Professional Development wants to help walk you through the process. During this presentation, we will go over the process for applying for graduate school, reflect on motivations for applying and think about best strategies for success. This discussion will empower students to think about their strengths and passions while also examining how graduate school plays a role in their future career plans. We will talk about the GRE, Personal Statements, Specialized Test for Law School/Medical School, and how to discuss letters of recommendation with faculty members.

Budgeting can be a challenging topic to discuss. Many people believe that budgets are constraining and too hard to stick to. Money management experts suggest replacing the idea of creating a budget with the idea of creating a “spending plan.” This CashCourse workshop is designed to encourage students to track their expenses, consider their wants and needs, make choices that better align with their goals, and practice living within their budgets.

Leah Sobsey, associate professor of photography, will give an artist talk and sign copies of her latest book, This Earthen Door, a photographic reworking of Emily Dickinson’s herbarium with collaborator Amanda Marchand.
