Buffalo Creek spans much of the Greensboro Metropolitan area and primarily functions as a means for channeling storm water throughout the city.  Unfortunately, storm water brings unsightly and potentially contaminating debris into the creek.  Outdoor Adventures is proud to take on the task of “adopting” this stream and greatly appreciates you joining us to make a difference in our community as well as communities located downstream of Guilford County!

Spend your Friday Afternoon paddling around one of Greensboro's local lakes. After a quick paddleboarding lesson, we will begin our adventure and add in some games once we get comfortable on our boards. Keep your eyes peeled for the wildlife on the lake, and if you are feeling up to it test your balance with headstands and other tricks!

Come out to Piney Lake to climb and zipline on the Expedition Course! We will have numerous elements for you to swing, step, climb, and lunge across as you make your way to the zip line for your final descent! Bring some friends along for some extra laughs and memories along the way. Just a short drive from campus, the Routh Horse Ranch provides us with an opportunity to experience an introduction to horseback riding and go on a hike with your horse! This trip is perfect for animal lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Spend your Saturday getting to know the horse that you will be riding through several miles of trails! While not riding the horses, you will be able to check out and explore the ranch and what it has to offer!

Spend your Sunday with us as we venture out to one of Virginia’s lakes for some kayaking, fresh air, and beautiful landscape. This classic Outdoor Adventures trip takes us to the beautiful Philpott Lake for a relaxing day of kayaking. We will teach you all the paddling strokes you need and help you get comfortable on the water before we make our way to a picnic area for a water-side lunch. After enjoying a well-deserved rest, we will hop back into our boats and take the long way back to the van of our journey home.
