Higher Education Doctoral Student Association’s (HEDSA) mission is to promote equity, leadership, scholarship, service, and community for doctoral students in the PhD in Educational Studies - Higher Education program and other doctoral students interested in pursuing careers in higher education. We are committed to enhancing our academic program by actively supporting the recruitment, transition, socialization, and skill-building of both prospective and current students, helping them thrive and succeed throughout their doctoral journey.

HEDSA will coordinate programs and initiatives to promote community building and professional development for current and prospective PhD students in the Educational Studies - Higher Education program. Future programs may include writing workshops, professional panels with scholar-practitioners in the field, networking events, virtual coffee chats, and more.
