To become a lifeguard, Alex Best had to retrieve a brick from the bottom of a pool. Due to his small stature, some doubted him. But with hard work and discipline, he accomplished his goal. The brick now serves as inspiration for him to challenge himself further. After earning his bachelor’s degree at UNC Greensboro, Alex decided to pursue a master’s in athletic training.
